FAQ

Before you write to us.

The questions we hear most — about the rugs, the process, and working with us directly.

How can I contact you?
How are the rugs made?

Our hand-woven rugs are entirely handmade using traditional pedal loom techniques. We carefully select and dye the wool — which comes from our own sheep — and finish each piece with meticulous attention to ensure durability and beauty.

Where do the materials come from?

The wool comes from sheep we raise on our own farm, along with high-quality commercial fibers like Lincoln and Mohave wool. Our dyes are natural, derived from regional plants, insects, and minerals, preserving ancient Zapotec techniques — we also use a wide range of synthetic dyes for more precise, versatile color tones.

Do you offer shipping?

Yes, we ship worldwide. Every order is carefully packaged to arrive in perfect condition. Shipping costs vary depending on location and order size.

Is it possible to customize a rug?

Yes, we accept custom orders. We'll work with you to choose specific colors, patterns, and sizes to create a piece that fits your space and taste.

How long does it take to make a custom rug?

Production time depends on the complexity of the design and the size of the rug — on average, a custom rug takes between 4 and 8 weeks. We keep you updated on your order's progress the whole way through.

What care does a handwoven wool rug need?

Avoid prolonged sun exposure, shake it out regularly, and vacuum weekly — the wool's natural lanolin does most of the work.
